Client-Company is based in beautiful Burnaby,
BC, and is growing quickly into a major
industry player. It is an emerging
developer and supplier of advanced
gas purification systems.
Our products, which incorporate our patented fast-cycle
Pressure Swing Adsorption ("PSA") technology,
offer significant improvements over 'conventional' PSA
due to their compact size, modularity and
scalability.
Merging
different engineering disciplines, Our Client
breaks through the barriers of conventional product
design to find innovative solutions for existing and
new rapid-growth markets.
We
have an immediate opening for a Process Development
Engineer within our Advanced Development Group.
Responsibilities:
Using
a combination of dynamic modeling and laboratory
“shadow” units as inputs for testing,
the successful candidate will be responsible for the
following job functions:

Functioning
as the liaison between the process and testing
groups to ensure testing is done in a timely and
effective manner;

Considering
process requirements, designing & directing
the experimental plan for the “Shadow” units;

Co-coordinating
the operation of several “shadow” units to
further developmental effort relating to various
programs/projects;
-
Scheduling
and project management of multiple testing
projects/programs;
-
Documenting
the various runs in a standard format for ease of
analysis;
-
Compiling
and evaluating test data to determine when further
analysis is required;
-
Delivering
multi-disciplinary numerical, documentation and
analysis work;
-
Managing
the process to direct changes or enhance the
experimental units.

Developing
technical skills on the PSA process and advancing
the PSA process development efforts towards
continuous improvement;
-
Working
with the process team to conceive and plan
projects involving definition and selection of new
concepts.
Required
Qualifications
- "Must Have"
- A
Bachelor’s degree or preferably, a Master’s
degree in a related field
- 4+
or more years of experience in chemical industry
OR an engineering company.
- Laboratory;
and/or experimental/industrial work experience –
although a chemical engineering graduate is
preferred.
- Working
knowledge/experience of running test units
- Planning
experiments
- Project
